SEARCHING THE BOOKS DATABASE:

Q. How do I search for book and software information and reviews?
A. There are three ways to conduct a search of the book/software database:

When you first enter the 'Books' database, a Profile screen will appear. Here you can set up automatic, customized searches by your specialty interest areas. To see the results of your customized searches, click on the icon to the left of your selected specialty. ‘Quick Search’ – At the top of every screen in the books database there is an open search field that you can use to find a title using either a title word, the author’s last name, or the ISBN number. When you enter a search term, the Quick Search looks for a match in those three fields and returns the results.

‘Advanced Search’ – Below the open field for the simple search there is a link to the advanced search engine. Here you will be able to search the book database by a variety of fields, including copyright year, specialty, star rating, title, author or publisher, and key words.
