Company Information

Doody Enterprises was founded in 1993 with the mission to develop time-saving information update products for health care professionals. From its inception, Doody Enterprises has delivered its unique content using technology to customize the content to reflect the individual interests of each subscriber.

Doody Enterprises's principal editorial properties are Doody's Core Titles in the Health Sciences, Doody's Review Service and Online Literature Review, the value-added filtering of the Medline® database. These databases have been fashioned into a variety of products:

Doody Enterprises delivers customized updates in the medical literature to more than 300,000 health care and health information professionals every week. In addition, through its licensing arrangments with other companies, it is estimated that more than 1,000,000 health care and health information professionals worldwide are exposed to Doody's Book Reviews or Doody's Star Ratings® on a consistent basis.

Vital to the successful development and delivery of Doody's unique content are its partnerships with medical publishers which send their books to be entered into Doody's Book Review Database; the academic health care professionals in 125 specialties who form Doody's Editorial Review Group Chairs and organize more than 5,000 academically-affiliated health care professionals to write book reviews; and the medical libraries, medical societies, health care institutions, corporations and content providers who subscribe to or license Doody's products.

In addition to the company's commitment to technological tools to deliver its information as efficiently as possible, Doody Enterprises fosters a deep personal commitment to, and connection with, its customers. The company prides itself on its dedicated, personal interaction with customers. The improvement of its products and the growth of its business over the last 11 years are the direct result of suggestions, observations and insights offered freely by its customers and gleaned from its Library, Publisher and Editorial Advisory Boards.
